Home Schooling Program

Springbrook offers an equestrian program geared specifically towards the home schooling community. The program covers a broad range of horsemanship skills, including safety, arena etiquette, anatomy, proper use and care of tac k, and mounted riding lessons.

As the students progress through the program, educational activities are scheduled that cover all aspects of the horse, from breeds and markings to health and nutrition, including demonstrations with farriers (blacksmiths)and veterinarians.

The program is offered September through May to children age seven and up. Classes meet weekly for two hours in the morning or afternoon.

Springbrook Equestrian Center is a year-round equestrian facility with outdoor riding arenas as well as a heated barn and indoor arena for winter riding. Family members can enjoy our large observation room equipped with wireless internet access where non-participating siblings can continue their studies.

Please give us a call so we can set up a time for you to observe lessons, tour the facility and answer any of your questions. Also, please let us know if you would like to contact any of our home school families that have been participating in our program during the past two years.
